WELCOME TO GILI T, WELCOME TO PARADISE
After one week in Bali, it was time to discover another island. We left behind the noisy and crowded city of Kuta to head towards Padang Bai.
We took the bus early in the morning around 8 am, with people from different countries. One of them was Canadian,Tom the diver, he was a funny guy who imitated the diving movements in the bus and told us few jokes :d.
When we arrived to Padang Bai ,where we shipped a ferry that took us to the paradisaical Gili islands. We stayed in Gili-Trawangan, or Gili-T as people call it, the biggest island of the 3-island archipelago.
we took the ferry to Gili T, which was an enjoyable trip. Because of the nice views. A few hours later we arrived to the awe-inspiring Gili T. I was so excited about it, the water was so blue and clear, unfortunately we didn’t book before a hotel or a house or anything. Tom showed us some places but which happened to be full. We had to continue looking for other places. Honestly it wasn’t that difficult to find one because there were many choices.

Finally we found a beautiful bungalows place called “Cottage by the sea”. They had recently opened, so we were the first ones to sleep there. I really loved the style, it had an open bathroom where you could have a shower while watching the stars. The bed was comfortable and we also had a cute terrasse with a swing to relax.

We left our stuff in the cottage, we had a shower and then we went to a vegetarian restaurant definitely one of the best vegan places, the food was amazing and the atmosphere was unique, I still remember the taste of the fresh mixed juice I had. Afterwards we decided to go to the beach to chill. It was almost night ,we enjoyed watching the stars and listening to the sound of the waves, it was relaxing.
We ended up our day in a local restaurant where we had a delicious Indonesian dinner. After a couple of hours, we went to our cottage to get some sleep to be ready for the next day.
Gili was about chilling max, there were no vehicles, which meant zero pollution and noise. People used bicycles and horses to move around the island, which is the thing that made Gili special compare to other islands.
I hope you enjoyed reading about my adventures. Next post I am gonna tell you more about the rest of my Gili T’s moments ❤
